What is the Clinical Pilates Process?

It's the maintenance your body needs!

  1. What is your Goal in Life?  To hold your grandchildren when you’re old?  To play sport with your friends?  Maybe just to sleep through the night without getting woken up by back pain?  Something else?

  2. How much time and money do you spend on keeping your car roadworthy every year?

  3. Which machine is more valuable to you?  Your car?  or your body?

It might be time to start doing more body maintenance!

There are many other services out there: Chiropractors, Massage therapists, TCM, so-called ‘spine specialists’, and all manner of other services.  All of these services have one common theme: you get some temporary relief, but you’re not treating the real core of the problem.

Whether you’re 10 or 100 years of age, nearly everybody has ailments that could use improving.  What makes Clinical Pilates so effective is that it uses highly-trained physiotherapists and treats the core of the problem with a clear treatment plan – not just treating the symptoms.  This means that we actually work towards the goal of being free from the issue, so that you can live your life and get back to your real life goals.

There are two main types of Physiotherapist services, and they are very different:

Traditional Physio (such as Hospitals, and Rehab Centres)

Great for people recovering from a specific event, such as injury, post-operative care, and workplace accidents.  Not great for ongoing chronic issues.

Clinical Pilates (That’s us):

A perfect match for people with ongoing issues (“Chronic” issues) that won’t go away without help.

Clinical Pilates Process

1 - Initial Assessment

1 on 1 Detailed Assessment and Initial Treatment

Your first step is a detailed 1 on 1 consultation.

Your body is unique, and it deserves a unique assessment and solution.

We don't just put you on machines and walk away!

2 - Tailored Programme

Tailored Pilates Programme

The majority of the time, acute pain is treated by Physiotherapy, while chronic pain is fixed through Clinical Pilates.

We design a 1 on 1 programme that fixes the cause of your problem, so that you can get back in control of your body.

3 - Maintenance

Continuing Maintenance

Once we fix the underlying cause, you will be ready to to move into 'maintenance mode'.

Our bodies are delicate machines, and doing regular maintenance is the key to your quality of life.

4 - Maintenance Through Group Fitness

Join Group Fitness Classes to Keep the Gains

If your maintenance is really under control, you're ready for our Group Fitness Pilates to keep healthy and meet new people.

Clinical Pilates is a scientifically proven method of improving back pain, knee pain, and other chronic issues, as well as preparing the body for everything life has to throw at it (such as pre-natal preparation, olympic athlete training, and body maintenance).

The stages of the Clinical Pilates Process are:

The First Session:

The first step is to come in and see our Clinical Pilates specialist Physios.  They will interview, assess, and determine exactly what is going on, and how to get from here to where we need to be!

(This session is 45 minutes, and is the first of 6 sessions).

Five More Private Sessions to complete the ‘First 6’:

After only Five more Clinical Pilates sessions (for a total of 6), you will already see a clear and measurable improvement in your body.  It takes these sessions to teach the basics of Pilates Safety and control, and so the starting sessions must be private 1-on-1.

After the ‘First 6’, Your Choice of ‘Continuing Maintenance Programme’, Private Sessions, or Group Fitness

After achieving real differences in only six sessions, it’s time to look at the bigger picture.  What are your goals for the long-term?  Do you want to be in peak condition from now until old age?  Many of our patients choose to move into the more social “Continuing Maintenance Programme” after they have completed their six sessions.  You still do a fully-personalised programme that focuses on your needs, but now have a chance to meet others, and have a mix of supervised and personal time in our Pilates gym.
